A MAGICAL EVENING AT COSY CLUB

(Please note this evening was a press meal and gifted by the restaurant, my review however is all my words and my honest opinion)

Hey guys,

I was incredibly lucky to be invited to try the Vegetarian and Vegan menu at the BRAND new Cosy Club in Plymouth. I used to go to Cosy all the time when I lived in Bath, so I already knew the high standard of the restaurant so I was very excited. I attend the press evening when it first opened as was so impressed with the space but it was really lovely to see it all up and running.

We were greeted at the top of the stairs (there is a lift and the restaurant is fully accessible) and taken to our seat at the back of the restaurant right next to the lit up Christmas tree outside which made me very happy. I chose to bring along my old housemate and good friend Amy as she is also vegetarian so we could both try all the different choices.

We were introduced to our waiter Jan, who I wanted to specifically named due to his incredible service and bubbly personality but every single staff member were amazing and made our night so special. We started with a couple mocktails/cocktails which were gorgeous, I had the pink lemonade and Amy choose a pornstar martini, both went down very nicely.

We then moved onto starters, I had halloumi sticks and Amy had the olives. I had, had the halloumi before at the press evening so I knew it would be good, and it really did not disappoint, they were the perfect size for a started and the sauce they came with accented them perfectly. Amy actually said that the olives 'are the best olives I've ever had' so she really loved them and we had such great starters.

Next up, obviously we chose our mains I chose the Beyond burger, which is veggie as it comes with cheese, so it can easy be made vegan by removing that. It was really lovely and I would definitely have it again, sometimes its hard to get veggie burgers right but because it was the Beyond burger it was really lovely. Amy tried the Vegan fish and chips, and although it looked amazing, she was hoping to have more fish flavour in the tofu, as it was quite a big bit, so you would defiantly need to like tofu to have it. It came with chunky chips and I think it's a really good step to see the amount of vegan and veggie options they had. They gave us the fully separate vegan menu to look at as well, while also offering us the gluten free menu at the start. I was thrilled to see the same amount of meat burgers, as there were veggie options, we were defiantly spoiled for choice.

Lastly came desert, our server Jan has told us to go for the chocolate melt, and I had been told to try the cinnamon donuts so we went for both to give them a try and I have to say I think this was my favourite course. They were both amazing and we really employed our second stomach for desert. They both felt like a good size and really finished off the meal nicely.

Overall, I think that the restaurant is a brilliant new addition for Plymouth, they have amazing options for food allergies so I would encourage you to go and have a try. It was a really lovely evening and I cannot wait to go back and try more of their menu!

I hope you have enjoyed this little post, if you have any questions let me know!
Thank you,
Ruby xxx
